Assistant Professor, Chair - Sports & Entertainment Management (2001 to 2012)

Created, designed and taught sports management major with business, marketing and revenue focused curriculum.  

Led the University’s largest program, and provided leadership and career development opportunities for traditional students as well as adult education. Created internship opportunities, leadership and development programs, networking platforms through classroom and experiential learning methodologies. Designed training materials, outcome assessments, classroom lectures and workshops in both in-person and virtual formats.

Managed and advised largest active business club at Northwood University in addition to overseeing Texas Association of Collegiate DECA growth and leadership.

Created an opportunity for students to gain experiential learning practices in a competitive environment through case studies, projects and political campaigns. Led and coached large student groups to both state and national championships. Supported and advised leadership opportunities for students to hold both state and national elected positions. Focus on team building, public speaking and critical thinking skills.

  • Led and coached 4 students to a Collegiate DECA National Office in 8 years (3 National Presidents, 1 Regional VP)

Krystal Image Studio / Krystal Image Sports - Cleburne, TX 

Vice President of Marketing and Business Development (2006 to 2011)

Opened and operated photography studio with primary market of family and high school seniors, as well as a division focused primarily on youth sports.

Designed and created marketing strategies for start-up photography business. Created professional atmosphere, brand, and product to develop business operations in a profitable plan.
